In this recipe, we'll show you how to make the perfect chocolate crinkles that are sure to become a staple in your cookie repertoire.
Ingredients
100g icing sugar
100g sugar
200g dark chocolate
50g butter
2 eggs
220g flour
2 tsp of baking powder
Pinch of salt
Preparation
Step 1:
Using an electric mixer, chop your chocolate on high speed.
Step 2:
Transfer to a saucepan, add the butter and melt them together.
Step 3:
Transfer the melted chocolate mix to a bowl, ad the eggs, the sugar and mix together until it becomes homogeneous.
Step 4:
Add a pinch of salt, the flour and the baking powder. Mix together on medium speed.
Step 5:
Transfer to a sheet of baking paper that you will also use to nicely wrap your dough and be able to reserve it the fridge for 2 hours.
Step 6:
Preheat your oven to 180°C/356°F
Step 7:
Shape cookie balls with your crinkle dough and roll in the icing sugar. Using the baking paper you initially wrapped your dough in, line an oven tray to bake your crinkles.
Step 8:
Bake your crinkles for 10 minutes. They may still be very soft when you take them out of the oven but do not worry, let them cool down on a rack and they will reach the desired texture.
